Information we collect

Information you give us

When you call us, send us a WhatsApp message or fill in a form on our website: your name, phone number, email address and the details you share about your pet and your request.
When you visit our clinic or book a home visit: your contact details, your address (for home visits), your pet’s details and medical history, and billing records.

Information collected automatically on our website

Basic technical information such as device type, browser, pages visited and how you reached our website (for example, from a Google search or ad).
This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies. Analytics and advertising cookies are only used after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings on our website. More details are in our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information

To answer your enquiries and book appointments or home visits.
To provide veterinary care and keep your pet’s medical records.
To send appointment confirmations, reminders and follow-ups (for example, vaccination boosters).
To issue invoices and manage payments.
To understand how visitors use our website and improve it.
To measure and improve our online advertising (see “Advertising and measurement” below).
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Advertising and measurement

We use Google Ads to tell pet owners in Dubai about our services. To understand which ads bring clients to our clinic, we may share the phone number or email address of clients who visit us with Google, in a hashed (encrypted) form. Google uses this information only to match it with its own records and to report to us how many visits came from our ads. Google does not receive your name, your pet’s details or any treatment information.
If you do not want your details to be used in this way, email us at info@petxpress.ae and we will exclude them.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when needed, with:

Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Maps) – for website analytics, advertising measurement and maps on our website.
WhatsApp (Meta) – when you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
Our service providers – such as our website hosting provider and our clinic management software provider, who process data on our behalf.
Laboratories, specialists or referral clinics – only when needed for your pet’s care.
Authorities – when required by law, for example for pet registration, vaccination or microchip records.

Some of these providers may store information on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. We only use providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your information.

Third-party content on our website

Our website shows Google reviews and an embedded Google Map. These services may collect information about your visit according to their own privacy policies. Our website also links to our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages; their privacy policies apply when you visit them.

How long we keep your information

Enquiries that do not lead to a visit: kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted.
Client and pet medical records: kept for as long as required by applicable UAE laws and veterinary regulations.
Website analytics data: kept according to the retention settings of the analytics tools we use.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us to:

Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
Stop using your information for advertising measurement or marketing.
Withdraw your consent to cookies at any time.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to client records is limited to staff who need it to do their work.

Children

Our services are for pet owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
